Hi, Kiera, - were you the one handing Tedy the books to sign? I was wearing my denim jacket with " I LOVE TEDY" on the back and someone made me turn around and show Tedy the jacket. I was going to ask him if he was wearing his "I LOVE BETH" jacket (ha ha) but we got on to another subject. I even had to run and become a BJ's member to get the book signed - and then NOBODY asked to see my membership card! I was sad that I could only get one - I have three brothers and a mother who are all devout fans and a signed book would have made a great Christmas gift for each of them! Do you know if he'll be signing at any other BJ's? Karen - were you the one who went through the line 3 times to get 3 books signed?
I thought Michael Holley was very nice too, I had not met him before but I read his book Patriot Reign and LOVED it - made me realize how little we civilians really know about what goes on behind the scenes.

Hey- Yea, that was me haha. I had you turn around! Loved your jacket! You also gave him that present right? In the blue bag? He was very appreciative. I'm sorry you couldn't get more than one book- Tedy and I were both pretty frustrated about that. Lots of people had to keep getting in line. I felt so bad! Sorry to say - That was Tedy's last book event for "Never Give Up". Thank you for coming and for going so far as to sign up for a BJ's Membership! It was great meeting you!

Hey Beth - I did go through 2 times I must say..the 1st time i was 5 th in line and so very much rushed (which i understand) BUT then i was waiting to ask Tedy something and saw all these people in the middle to end of line - getting pictures with him, chatting, etc... and I realize that it was because there was NOT a big line at all and they realzied he had time to chat, etc....SO i asked someone if my daughter could get back in line to get a picture with him .... and they said "sure, i dont see why not.." I mean they were pulling shoppers out to go through the line I feel bad but i dont think it was advertised half as much as his other signings....which i have been too and have been in a line of 400 people for... I did see your jacket and funny thing is I have a T-shirt with that exact heart and saying - i love it!!!! Keira - yeah, Tedy seemed to understand the tragedy even tho he said he did not see it in the papers (how could that be?? ha ha ) Michael said he was familair with it....You should have seen the coaches faces when i brought it to them...for them to knwo that a football legend is thinking of them during their difficult time is priceless. And if he can come back from what he did and hit the field again then they can too! Their first game following Joey's death was postponed as they could not even practice that whole week he passed away...none of them wanted to play the game without him! Anyway....that gives you a bit of why i was so thankful that i could do this for them

Hi Karen- Glad to hear everything worked out! Tedy actually doesn't read any newspapers or watch any sports news when in-season...so that's probably why he hadn't heard about the tragedy. However, I know he was extremely touched by the entire thing. I'm glad the coaches and players enjoyed his message. They certainly deserve a little sunshine to say the least!
Tedy also told me he remembered you from a charity pool tournament? I think that was you anyway haha. He was happy to see you again!
Thanks again for waiting til the end!
xoxo

Yeah, that was me with the pool thing...i actually did it with him 2 years in a row - when i was leaving the signing he said "we'll get them next time in pool." because I was SO BAD when we played......
So, you are the publicist, correct? What does that mean you do when not attending book sigings?

Hi, Kiera,
Were you with Tedy at the signing he did at Rotman's in Worcester just before he had his stroke? He was there with Seymour, Dillon & Harrison. If you were, then we've met before. I'm glad Tedy liked the gift (it was a jar of red, white & blue Jelly Belly jelly beans). I was actually glad the line wasn't too long - although I was about five people back when he took a break to tend to a cut on his face so we waited quite a while for him to come back - I felt like I had a chance to chat with him for a couple of minutes. I was going to ask to take a picture of him holding my license plate (TEDYBR) but it was too much of a hassle to take it off the car. He really is the real deal and he proves it to his fans time and time again. Do you know if he has bookplates he can sign? I was thinking of writing to him and asking him to sign a couple so I can get all the Christmas books I'm giving signed. Thanks.
Karen - I grew up in Holliston and it was so nice of you to do that for the team. A lot of my friends played football and I can't imagine what Joey's fellow players have been through, not to mention his coaches and his classmates. I guess the only lesson we can take from such a tragedy is to live life to the fullest and appreciate every day we have.

Every once in a while I run across a Wally Kobylinski good timberland boots article... so I decided that, since 'Abbys Good Stuff' was using so little of the discount timberland boots web space that I already paid for, that I'd use up some of that space and grab some of the best cheap timberland boots articles I read and reprint them here. This is a new thing, but it will grow. The timberland mens boots articles and editorials I choose will be on a wide variety of subjects - the only thing they will have in common is that I liked them when I read womens timberland boots them and somehow got permission to reprint them here to share with you. I'll try to add at least one new one every week, and of course you can send a timberland outlet suggestion if you have, or know of, a good article that I could add.
