do you know how Zip is doing? This has to be eating him up. Tell him we are thinking of him, too, if you can? As the mom of a small child with a disability, I know that it can encapsulate your world and make it seem smaller. With Zip's illness, it sounds like football, and Tedy Bruschi, are all he has left that is fun and exciting. Please tell him we are praying for him, too. Next year, WHEN Tedy and the Patriots go to the SuperBowl AGAIN, I hope Zip can be there.

I've been in contact with Zip multiple times each day... I called him to give him the initial word and we've been keeping each other informed as we hear the latest.
LIke me, he didn't want to jump to any conclusions until hearing the official words... But I must say...
I shed some tears tonight when everything was confirmed.

I think we all have. This just hurts. It's unfair that bad things happen to good people. Just unfair.

yeah, me too. I feel so dejected. The Patriots are awesome, but Bruschi...he is the heart of them. I was actually letting myself feel sorry for "us", coaches leaving, Tedy sick...then I realised that he is alive, and his family still has him, and it would be downright greedy to want more than that. I guess I can rest easy knowing he is surrounded by them and knows how much he means to all of us. God knows he has nothing left to prove.

I hope he is feeling better and that Tedy's illness isn't getting him down too much! I haven't shed any tears yet but I have had a nagging feeling all day- It's amazing that he has touched us so much just by being a great player and human being! Let's hope for a full, quick recovery!

I too shed a few tears.. every time I see them (the media) flash a picture of that big smile it just breaks my heart. I have to believe everything happens for a reason, but its hard to swallow when things like this occur.
But I am so happy that he seems to be doing ok and is with his family at this time.
