September 17, 2007 Bill's game ball By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff Patriots chairman/CEO Robert Kraft presented coach Bill Belichick a game ball in the locker room after tonight's victory.
Also, Belichick took time to address the fans in his post-game press conference.
"I want to thank the fans for their awesome support," he said. "I definitely felt that, from the time I walked out on the field. They showed up tonight. They were with us. They gave us some energy. We appreciate that. We have great fans. And we have a great owner. He's been awesome all week. At times, it's been a tough situation. I'm just glad it worked out well for everybody tonight."
In the locker room, an emotional Tedy Bruschi called it the most satisfying win of his career.
We'll have more in a bit.

Geez we need a new DC!
Did you see Smitty though? And Delhomme for that matter? About the only bright spots we have on the team, LOL.

I caught the last 8 minutes of the game!!! The Patriot-Charger one, that is!!! Robert, when you told Nina that you were watching it, I stupidly said "he probably told you that because I told him we got Collage Football on our t.v" and then went to bed without checking to see if it was!! (Probably becuase it's a really old t.v. and I had no clue how to turn it on, but still I can't believe I didn't ask someone else to turn the stupid thing on!! I went t bed around 9:30 and was still wide awake around 11:00 when Mom and Nina turned on the t.v and saw the game was on and came and got me. I still feel like an idiot...
And I can't believe we lost to Houston.. Ick.

Geez, Beth - you couldn't just believe my statement straight up? LOL.
Beth - that game against Houston was unbearable. Well, almost. Delhomme and Smitty made it worthwhile to watch. But for the umpteenth time in my life they were the only people who showed up for the Panthers. Well, I suppose Ken Lucas and Jeff King did pretty well.
It's obvious Delhomme wants it this year - I don't know that I've ever seen him so on fire before, SB XXXVIII excluded.
