In the New York Times today....an article about Tom Coughlin...but one line in it that truly defines Tedy and our Patriots organization. (Of course- the press can only talk about how Bill walked off the field 1 second early, or how Brady laughed when he was told that Plaxico said they'd only score 17 points)...but the below is the exact reason i'm proud to be a Patriots fan and proud to know #54: "He was standing on another small stage, the kind of pedestal Tom Coughlin had spent half his week on here in the Valley of the Sun. Only now it was also a championship spotlight, perspiration dotting his brow, a much warmer and very different picture than the frosted cheeks that lit up Green Bay two weeks earlier. A hand poked through the crowd of reporters, and suddenly a linebacker’s familiar and famously rugged face came into view. “Congratulations, Coach,” said Tedy Bruschi, a three-time champion, a stroke victim after the last title in 2004, showing his class in what had to be the worst competitive hour for him and the Patriots." I hate that they said stroke "victim" and not "survivor" but I'll take what I can get.
