Thought I'd scan a few pages from Nina's scrapbook she made of our 2003 furlough.. I love sharing pictures and wanted to show off my sisters beautiful handiwork. If you look close, most of the pages have a date on them. Ok, so only 6 of them do. I posted them in the order that they were taken.. Starting with late May, 2003 and ending in February 2004.
I didn't realize the picures in these first two were a little dark.. I'm the one at the top of the page and Joshua is the one video taping at the bttom of the first page. Second page is me again at the top, and the picture of Nina getting caught by the wave is in the small pics in the middle. The rest of the pictures are just us 4 kids standing in the water and trying to not fall over. Joey was screaming while these pictures were taken.. If you think that's funny, you should see the video of it!
These are pictures of my brother Josh. He loves hunting, and he went after the rabbits first thing when we got back to the States. Yes, it was cold at 6:00 a.m. on a Georgian March morning.. At lesat it was to these missionaries who'd been in Africa for 4 years.
Joshua mowed the church lawn with this old tractor.
The picture of the wall is a wall in my grandma's house.. She calls it her "Joshua Wall". The top thing in the pic is a cross-stitch Josh did.. He's an awesome cross-stitcher, better then me. As you can see the middle is the same picture as the one I just posted and the bottom is a picture of a chalk drawing Josh did. It was the first (and only one) he's done and he did it by himself. If you know anything about chalk drawing, it's a very interesting way of drawing.
These pictures were taken on Mother's Day, in Montana. This 19 year old kid took us up. Nina was horrified because she had to tell him that she weighed 100 pounds. (We all had to tell him our weight to see if it would be safe to take all four of us.)
We came arcoss this place traveling down the coast of California right after we stopped at the beach.
I went rock climbing for the first time at Knotts Berry Farm. I believe Nina took these pictures.. The guy was a little hesitaint about me doing it in a skirt though. But I was wearing shorts underneath it so he let me. (Jokingly told me that he does it in a skirt everyday, lol)
This is Nina and our Uncle Paul. Nina used to keep this picture on her night table (along with other pictures of her with ur other uncles) and everybody used to ask if they were her boyfriends! lol
When we got to San Diego, my Grandma and Uncle Paul took us to Seaport Village.
On our way back to Georgia, we stopped to meet a family in Arizona that supports us and I fell in love with their cat, Lucy. You do not want to hear about our trip through Arizona.. Our car over heated hundreds of times and it was miserable.
After we got to Goergia, we went to Kentucky for a missions conferance. This is us on Sunday morning in the hotel lobby that we were at during the Super Bowl. (I'm sure ya'll know which one I'm talking about. Our tire went flat on Saturday in the middle of the night and it had froze. We got about 2 inches of snow (actually it was more like slush) on Feb. 5th. We had to call someone to help change our tire, (we didn't have anything we needed) and we missed Sunday School.
We went to the Rodeo for my 14th birthday.
These are Joshua's best (and only) friends, Josh and Daniel. (NOT the Daniel who died).. Daniel is the one hugging my brother in the top picture, and his brother Josh is the only other person on the page.
Hope ya'll enjoyed the pics..
