I will definitely continue to wear my #54 jerseys to show support for Tedy. I bet the Pro Shop sells out of them.
Speaking of which, does anyone know if a jersey that has been signed can be washed? I don't have a signed one but if I got one signed would not want to give up wearing it.
Mrs. B. must know - she has signed jerseys!
Thanks!

I wash mine but they do fade somewhat (also from the sun). I have an authentic "good one" that I don't wear that I'm going to mount but I have so many others that I rotate them so they don't wear out that fast...

I'm a little late on piping in on this, but I have to echo what most have already said... I was happy to hear this decision because I do think it is what's best for Tedy and his family at this point. I know it will drive him nuts to not be out on the field this year, but I truly believe he made the best decision possible for himself, Heidi and those beautiful boys...
Keep smiling Tedy!! We're all behind you, no matter where you stand this season (on the field, or on the sidelines!)

You should see my friend that lives in Onterio pronounce Yaz (not sure how to spell his full name ;D

Here is Kevin Mawae's comment in his journal at nflplayers.com - Mawae is the Center for the Jets who has been in the pro-bowl for the last several years: "Teddy Bruschi said he will not play this season. I'm sure it was a tough call for him, as he is such a great competitor...he's the type of guy I enjoy playing against...he plays hard every down, and has fun doing it! Prayerfully he will have a complete recovery and return to the field in 2006." Link: nflplayers.com/players_network/players_network.aspx?ID=20714&strSection=journal

cool quote...it's always neat when a player gets complimented by someone on another team

I've read a number of Kevin Mawae's journal entries and I don't recall he wrote anything like that before. Perhaps he thinks Tedy was a bigger reason for the Pat's recent success than some of us realized - Kevin was certainly in a position to know!
